Arts association launches website

BARRYVILLE, NY — The Barryville Area Arts Association (BAAA) has launched a website, www.BarryvilleAreaArts.org, to coincide with the organization’s one-year anniversary celebration.

The website showcases 25 BAAA member artists, including their artistic and professional backgrounds, photos of their works, studio hours and contact information. Visitors can explore the site by clicking on a photo of an individual artist’s work, which directs them to the artist’s full page with more photos. Visitors to the site can also learn more about the goals of the organization, and the upcoming activities and events of its members.

Also being unveiled for the first time is BAAA’s logo design, which will be featured on BAAA postcards. The postcards will soon be distributed at select hospitality, retail and arts-related venues throughout the area.

BAAA is a network of over 100 creative artists and arts supporters who wish to share information and ideas about their art and their communities. All of the member artists reside in 10 hamlets on both sides of the Delaware River: In New York, Barryville, Eldred, Glen Spey, Highland Lake, Minisink Ford, Pond Eddy, and Yulan, and in Pennsylvania, Greeley, Lackawaxen and Shohola.

One of BAAA’s main goals is to integrate art into the immediate region, and to establish the region’s reputation as an important arts community. The website is a vital step forward in this direction.
