CALLICOON, NY - Sweaters were needed as lady golfers from host Sullivan West took on the visiting teams from Eldred and Fallsburg on May 18. Shooting on the front nine, four groups took turns teeing off. Lauren Ellison (54), Jillian Fife (56) and Rachel Dickey (59) paced Sullivan West and edged out second-place Eldred by a mere two strokes.

The Lady Yellowjackets got a fine outing from leader Skylar Brundage (54). Meghan Dembrosky turned in an impressive 56 and Melissa Westfall added 61 to Eldred’s total score of 171.

For Fallsburg, a team that was bringing its new coach Russ Alger to the greens for the first time, the day was a little longer. Leader Bianca Rappaport was right in the mix with a 55. Cassie Orlan turned in a 62 and Brittany Baldwin-Hunter added a 62 as well for a total score of 189.

Sullivan West improved its record to 9-2 (8-1 OCIAA). Eldred’s record now stands at 7-3 (6-2 OCIAA). Fallsburg’s record was unavailable.
