Hillbilly hilarity at a murder mystery evening

WOODBOURNE, NY — The Woodbourne Action Committee will host the mock annual reunion of the Birchbumble Family Reunion, where murder and mayhem will ensue as part of a murder mystery dinner theatre evening, on May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodbourne Fire Hall. The show, by Peter DiPietro, is titled “The Hilarious Hillbilly Massacre.”

The audience-participation show will be performed by Big Sky Productions. Tickets cost $20 and include dinner as well as the show. You’re also invited to BYOM (moonshine, that is).

Reunion hosts are Huck Birchbumble, performed by Mike Valentine of Livingston Manor; his wife Gardenia, played by Pamela Bright of Napanoch; daughter Sally Mae, played by Connie Lawrence of Divine Corners; daughter Mary Lou, performed by S. Lavelle of Liberty; Sally Mae’s boy friend, Jethro Brylcream, performed by Phil Coombe III of Grahamsville; and IRS/FBI agent Clementine/Patty Serendipity, performed by Carol Bliefernich of Highland Lake.

Directed by Carol Montana of Grahamsville, the murder mystery is a benefit for the Woodbourne Action Committee’s 2007 Renaissance Project.
