Spartans to host All You Can Hit Buffet

MONTICELLO, NY - On Thursday, May 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., the coaching staff of the Sullivan Spartans, along with current and former players, including current pro Eddie Gonzalez of the Chillicothe Paints, will be a hosting a live arm batting practice night at Pro Prospects Training Center, located at 96 Cold Spring Road in Monticello.
The All You Can Hit Buffet is designed to challenge all age groups and levels (including softball). There will be a bunting cage, contest cage, simulated at-bat cage and two regular batting cages. Prizes awarded and a Sullivan Spartan t-shirt drawing will be held during each session.
Athletes aged six to nine are welcome to come from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Those who are 10 to 12 years of age are scheduled for 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Teenagers aged 13 to 15 will compete from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and those 16 and over are scheduled for 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
There is a limited of 25 players per session. Registration forms are available at leaguelineup.com/sullivanspartans or at Pro Prospects Training Center.
The Sullivan Spartans are members of the Collegiate Baseball League, which covers Sullivan, Orange, Ulster and Dutchess counties. Home games are played at Sullivan County Community College. The Spartans play a 40- to 45-game schedule, not including the postseason.
