Antique clothing in Hurleyville
HURLEYVILLE, NYLadies and Their Fancy Ways, a new display of antique clothing, will open at the Sullivan County Museum for the month of April. Museum volunteers Sharon Thorpe and June Koester have assembled some of the best dresses and accessories from the extensive collection owned by the Sullivan County Historical Society. The era covered is approximately from the 1890s to the early 1900s.
The museum is located at 265 Main Street. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Museum admission is free, but a donation is requested.

Grizzly Man at Monday Night Cinema
HONESDALE, PAContinuing its spring series of films with a back-to-nature theme, the Wayne County Arts Alliance will present Werner Herzogs celebrated documentary film from 2005, Grizzly Man, at 8:15 p.m. on April 16 at Cinema 6. The film explores the life (and death) of grizzly man Timothy Treadwell, who spent 13 summers living in a wildlife refuge on Kodiak Island in Alaska.

A banner year for beautification
Record 69 awards announced at Sullivan Renaissance dinner
LIBERTY, NYSullivan Renaissance 2007 has awarded 69 beautification grants to communities throughout Sullivan County. The announcement of the record number of awards was made Thursday evening, March 29 at the CVI Building in Liberty. These projects must be completed by August 6 and will be judged on August 10, 11 and 12. A second round of grants will be awarded in the evening on August 13 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel.
