Delaware Valley Opera to hold auditions

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Opera will hold auditions for singers for principal, secondary and chorus roles for their upcoming season on Saturday, April 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Other audition times might be available by appointment. Auditions will be held in the Krause Recital Hall at the Delaware Arts Center on 37 Main Street.

The season’s repertoire is for Bellini’s “Norma,” Offenbach’s “La Perichole,” and for “Naughty Operetta,” a program of music by Victor Herbert and Sigmund Romberg. The season will run from mid-July to mid-August. Singers should schedule an audition by calling 845/252-3136 and bring two songs or arias to sing. An accompanist will be provided.

The Delaware Valley Opera has been presenting opera in Sullivan County, NY for 21 years. Operas are accompanied by chamber orchestra. This year’s season will be under the baton of James Blanton.
