Sullivan West’s 5th and 6th grade travel team ends fine season

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY - While it was the fine exploits of the Sullivan West High School basketball teams that garnered the headlines this past winter, the future stars of the boys team were honing their skills and developing team chemistry that will propel them to future success.

The Sullivan West fifth and sixth grade travel basketball played games against Honesdale, Damascus, Port Jervis, Eldred, Susquehanna and Wallenpaupack.

At season’s end, the Bulldogs took second place in the Damascus Tournament and the sixth grade team took fourth place in the Take it to the Lake Tournament at Lake Wallenpaupack.

Richard Lander received a trophy for being named to the All Star Team at the Take it to the Lake Tournament. The team is coached by Lou Farragher and Jeff Meola and sponsored by the Sullivan West Elementary Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO).
