Big Twig concert rescheduled for April 1
ROSCOE, NY A Weekend of Chamber Music (WCM) concert cancelled on March 18 due to snow has been rescheduled to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, at Big Twig Studio in Roscoe.
Since violinist Curtis Macomber is unable to perform, violinist Sunghae Anna Lim will take his place with the contemplative Fauré Violin Sonata. She, flutist Judith Pearce and pianist Marija Stroke will perform music by Bach, Handel and Kummer in a program of trios, duos and solos. A meet-the-artists reception follows the concert.
The new date coincides with the Musicians Alliance for Peace annual Music for Peace Project, a global effort to fill the world with music as a call for peace. WCM has joined the roster of concerts participating around the world, and will help promote this vision with its Sunday at Big Twig program.
By coordinating a vast number of concerts worldwide between March 30 and April 1, 2007, The Music for Peace Project ( www.m4p.org ) will bring popular and media attention to international peace efforts while building a global community of active, socially conscious artists. Any musician can participate.
Tickets cost $18 for general admission, payable by cash or check only, at the door. Admission is always free for students 18 and under.
