Ice floes flow

Talk turned to ice flows from years gone by as individuals stood overlooking the Delaware River where ice floes tumbled and collided below the Narrowsburg, NY bridge. Many observers appeared to be mesmerized by the process.

One man, who has been observing the annual unlocking of ice since the 1960s, said that this year’s seasonal transformation is considerably milder than most. Citing his fascination with the constantly evolving ice-scape below, he added,“I’ve been here all day.”
