The rain forest comes to Fallsburg
FALLSBURG, NY Alligators, snakes, jungle cats, monkeys and beautiful tropical birds from around the world are coming to Fallsburg. Understanding Wildlifes Live on Stage, the Rain Forest will appear at Fallsburg High School on Friday, March 23. Understanding Wildlife is a nonprofit organization that travels from California to New York City with this incredible rainfort program.
Animal trainers will make a presentation during the morning to all students at Benjamin Cosor Elementary School at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 a.m. They will explain how energy conservation and recycling will help save the animals the children are seeing and other ways we can help save our rain forest.
A program for the entire family will then be presented at Fallsburg High School at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Students will be able to interact with a few of the animals. Live alligators, flying macaws, talking amazons and mischievous monkeys will all be part of the entertainment.
The cost for the program is $6 for adults and $3 for students, free for children aged two and under; BCES students are free. The event is sponsored by EPIC (Every Person Influences Children) and PTA at BCES.
