Peace in our time

BEACH LAKE, NY — The Peace Academy @ Liberty will present the thesis that war can be abolished by mankind in our lifetimes at the Unitarian Fellowship’s Sunday Gathering at the Community House, 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 11.

The speaker will be essayist Mort Malkin, who is currently researching a new book, “A History Of Civilization In Milestones of Peace.” The essay will be wide ranging, covering different disciplines such as history, archeology, philosophy and political science, all of which provide many examples supporting this thesis. However, Malkin will leave plenty of time for discussion, even challenges, by the audience. After the program, refreshments will be offered and an opportunity to chat with the essayist.
