DVAA’s anniversary gala slated for Villa Roma

CALLICOON, NY — A 30 Art-Full Years Gala, celebrating the cultural legacy of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, will be held on Saturday, March 31 at The Club at Villa Roma. Beyond celebrating the past, the evening will help support a vibrant future for the Arts Alliance and for all the cultural endeavors that they support in Sullivan County and the Upper Delaware River Valley.

The gala will open with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing to the music of The Rocketmen, a rock and blues band.

This is a major fundraiser to sustain the work of Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the Arts Council for Sullivan County, which in 30 years has produced thousands of programs in the visual, performing, literary, media arts and film fields, and has managed grant programs that have supported cultural organizations in virtually every township in Sullivan County and individual artists in both New York and Pennsylvania.

“The board of directors is making a serious fundraising effort to insure the future of this arts council,” says executive director Elaine Giguere. “This has always been a “roll up your sleeves” organization, but it takes money to maintain the professionalism that people expect of us. I hope everyone who values the arts will contribute to this event by taking an ad in the journal or coming to the event.”
