Ice arrives in time for the Livingston Manor Ice Carnival
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY Last year, an unseasonably warm winter led to the cancellation of Livingston Manors ice carnival. This year, it postponed the festival for a week. But by January 27 and 28, the weather had finally cooperated. About 1,500 came out into the cold to celebrate the 48th annual Livingston Manor Ice Carnival, with skating, horse-drawn sleighs, a sculpture contest and races, all presided over by Ice Queen Kirsten Scott and King Brandon Rubik. The Rotary Club, as always, sponsored the event and doled out free hotdogs and hot chocolate.

| The sculpture competition was limited to students, but local businesses and individuals were invited to join in sculpting just for fun. This trout is a tribute to the location, a paradise for fly fishing in a warmer season.
