Gospel jubilee comes to First Baptist church

MONTICELLO, NY — Gospel Jubilee 2007, starring jazz and gospel vocalist Donna Singer and the a cappella gospel group The Sensational Wonders, will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 at the First Baptist Church, 28 Liberty Street.

Donna Singer, MC for the evening, is a frequent performer in the Catskills and in New York City. Hudson Valley recording artists The Sensational Wonders are a five-man ensemble specializing in the post-war jubilee style of a cappella quartet singing. Special guest artist is Rev. David E. Laws, musician, composer and pastor of the New Vision Church of God in Christ in Hurleyville. Rounding out the program is poetess L.Monique, founder of Smokin’ Spoken Wordz Productions, and many more inspirational gospel choirs.

A donation of $15 is suggested. All are welcome no matter what they can afford. Proceeds will benefit the building fund of the First Baptist Church.
