Lakeside Players live at the library

HONESDALE, PA – The Lakeside Players will perform at the Wayne County Public Library, 1406 Main Street, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, as a part of the library’s ongoing series, Live @ the Library. Lakeside’s founders, Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose, along with actress Veronica Deisler, will perform excerpts from the company’s original haunted inn murder mystery, “Polter-Heist,” including spooky scenes, some magic tricks and a mini séance led by famous medium Madam Zelda von Schpookum (Deisler).

Schwartz and Ambrose will present two other unforgettable Lakeside characters: an uncharitable church lady known for lemon meringue pie, and a hillbilly with a tale of woe about some moonshine and an unwanted four-legged visitor. The actors will also give background on the theater group that’s been “acting like professionals since 1999” and talk about upcoming shows.

This program is presented free of charge to the public of all ages.
