Sullivan IDA approves pipeline tax break
Tioga County likely to receive full tax payments

MONTICELLO, NYA county agency has agreed to grant the Millennium Pipeline Company millions of dollars in tax breaks. The board of the Sullivan County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) voted on December 19, 2006 to approve a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreement that will result in tax breaks of millions of dollars over the next 15 years.

PA school districts to decide on more tax relief
Personal income tax may help fund school tax cut

HARRISBURG, PA - The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has directed school districts to decide if they want to offer more property tax relief to more homeowners.
Some homeowners who qualified - especially senior citizens - have already been granted some tax relief by a past legislative act.
The question now being proposed is: does the district want to extend more relief to even more home-owners?

Casinos future now Spitzers decision
New governor not yet tipping his hand

MONTICELLO, NYThe future of the proposed casino at Monticello Raceway is now in the hands of newly inaugurated Governor Elliot Spitzer. Former Governor George Pataki could have taken action to move the project forward in his final days in office, but according to an article in The New York Times, Pataki decided not to take the next step out of deference to the incoming governor.
