Candles at ChurcHouse concert herald the return of the sun
LONG EDDY, NY The converted church on the top of Goulds Mountain provides a magical setting for soprano Jane Labanz at the 14th annual Winter Solstice Concert Celebration, which took place this year on December 22.
The annual celebration is held every year by Alan Seale, baritone, and Bill Lewis, pianist/singer, who perform every year at the event. Seale is a voice teacher and Labanz is one of his students. The concert also featured storytelling by Able Rae, a locally well-known performer who has also read her works on National Public Radio.
The price of admission was a candle and an appetizer or dessert. .
