Hurleyville door deckers awarded prizes

HURLEYVILLE, NY — The Hurleyville-Sullivan First group held its 10th annual Deck the Doors holiday decorating contest on December 16, 2006. The group toured every road in Hurleyville on the night of the contest and judged all holiday-decorated doors in the hamlet. Winners of the contest were awarded prizes furnished by Hurleyville business owners.

The winners were the Dromazos family, Lori and Lee Feldman, Ruth and Dick Forest, Ryan Forest, Dawn and Shawn McCarthy, Amber and Jackie Melvin/Jennifer Wilson/Destiny Boyd, Olga and George Price, Leisha and E. Snihura, Carol and Fred Turner and Daru Zarija.

The winners were awarded prizes provided by Behan’s Garage, Catskill Amusements, Chick’s Express, The Fix-It Shop, Frankie and Johnny’s Presents, Nardi’s, izzy’s aunt, Lindsey’s, QQL Enterprises and Ucelli Restaurant.

All Hurleyville residents are invited to join Hurleyville-Sullivan First. The group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at izzy’s aunt, at 220 Main Street.
