Eldred Central School gets into the holiday spirit

ELDRED, NY — Holiday spirit reverberated through the halls of Eldred Jr/Sr High School this past week as students decorated the hallways, toys were collected for Toys for Tots, and bands and choruses performed in the Winter Concert.

As a special outreach this year, students from the Gifted and Talented Program at the George Ross Mackenzie Elementary School donated more than 40 holiday gifts to the United Way to distribute to needy children throughout Sullivan County. The elementary school students, a part of the Willing Instruction and Nurturing of Gifted Students program, made a variety of beaded jewelry by hand, then made their gift boxes by hand and personally wrapped each gift they gave.
