All aboard the Polar Express

GLEN SPEY, NY — Students and staff at George Ross Mackenzie Elementary School are seen here in the pajamas they were invited to wear to school as part of a Polar Express party, celebrated on Tuesday, December 19. As they watched the movie “The Polar Express,” based on Chris Van Allsburg’s children’s book by the same title, they were served cookies and hot chocolate in their pajamas—just like the children on the train. Teachers were provided with lesson plans to correspond with the book and movie.
