NARROWSBURG, NY — Wendy Jerkulski wanted to raise money to start a fund for the Narrowsburg chapter of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). Peg and Patrick Harrison, the owners of the Rasmussen Funeral Home and Rasmussen Furniture on Main Street, came through with a comfortable raffle itemūa La-Z-Boy rocking recliner.

At a drawing on December 15, the winning ticket was picked, and the winner was Val Bodine of Narrowsburg. This pleased Jerkulski because Bodine has a child in AYSO. There are about 60 children in AYSO including Jerkulski’sūseven-year-old Kyle and 11-year-old Austin, and the Harrison’sūseven-year-old Patrick and six-year-old Molly.

The $90 raised from the raffle will go to pay for items such as soccer balls and other necessary items.

To raise additional funds, the Narrowsburg AYSO chapter will hold a penny social at the end of April. To donate items call Jerkulski at 845/557-8555.
