Hamlin center welcomes dancers from another era
HAMLIN, PA Top Hats & Lace, a Victorian ballroom dancing troupe, recently performed their second show for the guests of the Hamlin Senior Center. They are Senior Citizen Vintage Dancers of NEPA, and are taught by Joan Dobitsch, who has been learning Victorian ballroom dancing for five years. The members of the group, all of whom are from the local area, rehearsed for 10 weeks before their performance.
Free dance lessons are offered every week. You can see the group perform at the Honesdale Senior Center on January 10 and the Hawley Senior Center on February 8.
The group is looking for more dancers, couples preferred. For more information call Joan at 570/689-9835.
