Tri-Valley opens indoor season with victories over several Division IV rivals

WEST POINT, NY - The Tri-Valley girls and boys outpaced teams from Chester, Liberty and Eldred to roll out to a 3-0 record in Division IV on December 2 at the Gillis Field House.
Nick Denman took first in the 3200 (11:04) and the 1000 (3:05.6). Jack Parrow led the high jump with a leap of 5-0, while Gary North took first in the pole vault (9-0). Nationally recognized Ryan Loughney took the shot put with a heave of 40-11½. Libertys Scott took first in the long jump with a leap of 14-11½.
In the girls events, Casey Offringa captured the 55m hurdles with a time of 10:36. Meghan Drown won the 55m sprint with a time of 8.28. Drown came back to capture the 1000 (3:26.5) and the 300 (47:95). Teammate Courtney Roosa won the 3000 (11:39.8). Agnes Pompeii was the winner in the high jump with a leap of 4-4, while Linda Lesse took the long jump (10-9½).
Libertys Kim McKay took first in the pole vault (7-0) while teammate Kristen Sauer captured the long jump (23 -). Liberty won the 1600 relay (5:12.15), while Tri-Valley captured the 3200 relay (11:41.91) and the 800 relay (2:13.95).
