Music bonanza at the fire house

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, NY — WJFF Radio Catskill (90.5 FM) will hold its eighth annual music sale from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, at the White Sulphur Springs Firehouse Hall. Items for sale include thousands of new and used CDs, LPs and 78 rpms; as well as stereo equipment, instruments, sheet music, and more. All are at discount prices, and all proceeds from the event will support the work of WJFF, the nation’s only hydro-electrically powered radio station, and a community public radio station serving the Catskills, Northeastern PA, the Upper Delaware and the Mid-Hudson region.

Over the past few years, hundreds of people have come to the annual music sales to browse through thousands of albums. This year’s collection already includes music from all genres and all eras, and a collection of rare instruments from around the world that will be available in a silent auction.

Donations are needed and gladly accepted. They can be brought to the station before Thursday, November 16, or to the Firehouse Hall on Friday, November 17. Please, no classical LPs.

Admission to the sale costs $1.
