Local chefs unite to benefit community

TAFTON, PA — Chefs from some of the finest Pike County restaurants will join forces for Pike United Way’s third annual Chefs United Benefit Dinner, contributing their culinary talents to support the United Way of Pike County, on Thursday, November 16 at The Waterfront at Ehrhardt’s. Appetizers and a cash bar will start at 6:00 p.m., and dinner at 7:00 p.m. Tickets cost $50.

“Already, 14 of the area’s finest restaurants are on board to showcase their culinary specialties,” said Bob Kiesendahl, United Way Chefs United Event Coordinator. “They include AJ’s Sportside, Cora’s 1850 Bistro, Crazy Fingers, Cuckoo’s Nest, Ehrhardt’s Waterfront, Gresham’s Chop House, Laurel Ridge, Mugg’s Country Kitchen, Overboard’s, The Boathouse, The Fallsport, The Summit, Wallenpaupack Area School District and Woodloch Resort.” According to United Way Chefs United Event Coordinator Craig Ehrhardt, “Participants will enjoy appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts along with musical entertainment by Ray Weeks courtesy of the Dimmick Inn, all while supporting the United Way of Pike County.”

This annual benefit dinner coincides with the Pike United Way’s fundraising campaign. This year’s goal is $150,000 and the United Way hopes that this event will help them exceed this mark.
