Book signing in Bethany

BETHANY, PA — Albert G. Rutherford, author of the book “George Woodward: Forgotten Son of Bethany,” will hold a book signing at the Bethany Public Library from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11. In the book, the saga of the Woodward family unfolds as Rutherford details the political intrigue, tragedies and effects of the Civil War on the family.

George Washington Woodward became a Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Albert Rutherford, an attorney in Honesdale, also is a member of the Wayne County Historical Society’s speakers bureau, where he speaks on such historical figures as James Wilson, James Archbald and Horatio Allen.

All proceeds from sales of the book benefit the Capital Campaign Fund of the Wayne County Historical Society.
