An Aquarian murder mystery

CALLICOON, NY — St. James Episcopal Church will hold a murder mystery dinner, “An Aquarian Death,” evoking Woodstock era of the ’60s, at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4 in the undercroft of the church, on Route 17B across from Roach’s garage.

Forty years after the fabled “Aquarius” music festival at the Mel Yesek farm, principals of the event hold a reunion with an eye to an anniversary concert, profitable TV special and anniversary album. But there’s more afoot than the peace and love associated with the Age of Aquarius, and concert producer Dave Ruskin winds up dead. Who could have killed him? Could it be folk diva Julie Suarez? Or Tom Auden, balladeer for a generation? Or blues singer Jodie Joel from Enid, OK?

While helping themselves to a buffet of appetizers and dinner—with a ’60s-style menu in keeping with the setting—guests will mingle with the cast, asking them questions and trying to figure out who’s lying, who’s telling the truth and who the murderer is.

Tickets cost $15, including the dinner and a chance to win a prize for those who solve the murder correctly.
