Middle school presents ‘Into the Woods’

MONTICELLO, NY — Monticello’s RJK Middle School will present the comedic musical “Into the Woods Jr.” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 in the Monticello Middle/High School Auditorium.

When a baker (Robert Kerstner) and his wife (Nicole Ryan) learn they have been cursed with childlessness by the witch (Lissette Ciprian) next door, they embark on a quest for the special object required to break the spell, swindling, deceiving and stealing from a variety of fairytale characters. Jennifer Romano directs and choreographs this year’s show, and Snezana Lazich is choral director. Set construction and design is by Tim Lewin, and Tara Zollo and Tricia Cahalan are artistic directors. Jessica Bastek will be the accompanist for the show and Ann Carmeci is responsible for the cast’s costumes. The show is produced by Kevin Dirth, director of Monticello’s music department.

Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for students and are free for senior citizens.
