Library branches to host pumpkin-carving contests

WESTERN SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Western Sullivan Public library will hold a pumpkin carving contest for children of all ages at all three branches. Pre-registration is required to reserve a pumpkin, with a deadline of October 20. Children must be accompanied by an adult and bring their own carving tools. Pumpkins will be provided by the library. There will be prizes for the funniest, scariest, prettiest and most original.

At the Delaware Free branch, the Pumpkin Carving Contest will be held on Thursday , October 26 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. At the Tusten-Cochecton branch, the contest will be held on Friday, October 27 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. At the Jeffersonville branch, the contest will be held on Saturday, October 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
