Fall fiddlin’

BEACH LAKE, PA —The Old Time Fiddlers will host its annual fiddle festival on Sunday, October 29 at the Beach Lake Fire Hall on Route 652. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. with performances by numerous fiddlers from the tri-state area from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Some of the performers will include The Old Time Fiddlers, Fiddlin’ Around, Paul Lounsbury and Paul Riffon.

The afternoon consists of an open mike format for traditional music, with each group or performer having a 15-minute spot to perform their favorite tunes or songs. There will be a variety of instruments played throughout the day, including fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass fiddle and dulcimer. Refreshments will be available.

The Old Time Fiddlers is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of traditional music and dance through performance and education. This is its 27th year of performing in Wayne and Pike counties in Pennsylvania, and Sullivan and Delaware counties in New York.

Admission costs $10 for adults, $5 for seniors 55 and older, $3 for students over 12, and free for children 12 and under.
