A pair of pumpkin parties

Patrick Coombe of Grahamsville, decked out as an ear of corn, was one of over 300 kids who came out arrayed in every conceivable costume as part of the 21st annual Giant Pumpkin Party held in Grahamsville on October 7. The event is a fundraiser for the Daniel Pierce Library and a stupendous celebration of the season.

On the other side of the county, witches were on parade, pumpkins were being carved and pie was being downed in copious quantities at the fourth annual Pumpkinfest in Barryville, which was also held on October 7.
