Fiddler on the Roof staged by local talent
PORT JERVIS, NY The Presby Players will present the Tony Award-winning musical Fiddler on the Roof at the First Presbyterian Church on 60 Sussex Street from Thursday, October 19 to Sunday, October 22.
Fiddler on the Roof takes place in the little village of Anatevka, where a poor dairyman tries to instill in his daughters the traditions of his community. With a celebrated score and dynamic dance sequences, it has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty.
The Presby production has a cast of 34 multi-talented performers from the Tri-State area, including Bill Thomas, Vicki Zielazny, Steve Davis, Diana Weiner, Tara Johns, George Schock, MaryCate Morrison and Tim Webster. The show is directed by Bill Thomas and choreographed by Melissa Thomas. Musical direction is by Sandy Stalter.
Fiddler on the Roof will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20 and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.
