An evening of love and laughter

Big Sky Productions brings ‘Love… or Something Like It’ to Seelig stage

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — Big Sky Productions and Sullivan County Community College are will present “Love ... or Something Like It,” a night of comedic one-act plays, at the Seelig Theatre of Sullivan County Community College during the month of October. Performances will take place on Saturday, October 14, 21 and 28 at 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 15, 22 and 29 at 3:00 p.m.

The show is an up-close look at the world of humor, frustration and humanity, all part of being in (or looking for) a meaningful relationship. Many of the plays take an unorthodox look at a dating or marriage convention, or the love concerns of archetypal figures in our culture. One even examines the sociological importance of having the same weekly golfing buddy.

Featured in the ensemble cast are Bob Bliefernich of Highland Lake, Pam Bright of Napanoch, Bill Duncan of Woodbourne, Jeremy Gorelick and Stephen Lavelle, both of Liberty, Carol Montana from Grahamsville, Ellen Pavloff of Kerhonkson, Donna Sauer-Jones of Cochecton and Mike Valentine of Livingston Manor.

Tickets cost $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors and $5 for students with an ID card from any school. The show is recommended for ages 16 and older.
