ECS Drama Club celebrates member’s successful surgery

ELDRED, NY — At the recent von Steuben Day Parade and German Festival, members of the ECS Drama Club raised more than $300 to use toward production costs for their fall play, “The Plucky Pie Murder,” by raffling gift baskets containing items donated by community members.

Their spirits were further raised by the news that fellow ECS student Emily Grimm, who has served as the club’s light board technician, is in stable condition after emergency surgery to replace her diseased heart.

“We’re just so happy that Emily got a heart,” said Drama Club vice president Lauren Terry. “It made the whole day a real celebration and we just hope and pray for her to come back to school soon.”
