Music in the park to benefit VIP

HAWLEY, PA — “A Night in the Park,” an outdoors musical extravaganza, features vocalists, dance music and desserts, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 in Bingham Park. Musicians on the gazebo stage will entertain the audience with tunes from decades throughout the 20th century—’20s, ’30s, ’40s, and more. Featured vocalists will include Carol Diefenbach, Kenneth Platt, Carolyn Davis and Pastor Jim Corbin. Dance selections will be presented by Reneé (formerly Dulay) and Ken Platt. Local establishments such as Tic Tocs and Branko’s Patisserie, of Honesdale, and Woodloch of Hawley will be providing desserts. All proceeds will be given to the Victims’ Intervention Program (VIP) which offers confidential services to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse. Suggested donation is $5 per person. Rain location will be at the Free Methodist Church in Beach Lake next to Avery Transportation.
