Barryville PumpkinFest celebrates fall with contests, music, games and crafts
BARRYVILLE, NY The Fourth Annual Barryville PumpkinFest is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7 (rain date, Sunday, October 8) at the Spring House Commons on Route 97.
The festival will feature contests galore: best pumpkin decorating, best costume for young and old people and pets, best vender booth and, of course, the traditional pumpkin-pie-eating event. To add to the excitement this year, the annual bake-off (sweet and savory categories) will be judged by representatives from Gourmet Magazine. There will be big prizes for all contests.
There will be live music throughout the day with various music groups, including Rollo, as well as pony and carriage rides and games for kids and adults. Over 50 vendors will be selling foods, arts and crafts. This event is sponsored by The River Reporter, Thunder 102 Radio, The Spring House Commons and Highland Estates.
