A festival for fall

debuts in Jeffersonville

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — The Village of Jeffersonville, in cooperation with various local organizations, will hold an Autumn Festival and Community Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to celebrate autumn.

Event plans include a classic antique, hot rod or custom car and motorcycle exhibition and chili challenge contest. Artisans, craftspeople and gardeners will sell homemade crafts and home-grown items. Merchants will conduct drawings for gift certificates, goods or services, and conduct sidewalk sales.

For children, there will be free fingerprinting by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department at the library, face painting, a coloring contest and a Rag-a-muffin/Scarecrow Parade. Parade participants will line up at the western end of Jefferson Avenue and march to Kelly Kones, where they will receive free custard cones.
