Liberty’s Punt, Pass and Kick draws kids galore

Return of Kaseem Sinceno kicks off spirited weekend

LIBERTY, NY — Kaseem Sinceno held the Liberty High School audience spellbound. After all, it isn’t every day that a graduate from your school becomes a standout football player at Syracuse University and follows that up with a stint in the NFL.

He returned on September 15 to share personal insights. “Finish what you start,” he told the students and staff present. “And take pride in what you do.” Sinceno said this applies to whatever you do, not just sports. He expressed his pride in Liberty and said, “Success starts in school.”

The invitation extended to Sinceno was part of a weekend that included the NFL Pepsi Challenge Punt, Pass and Kick competition on September 16 and a halftime ceremony during the Indians’ football game with Tri-Valley to announce the winners, who will now be eligible to participate in the regionals. A great number of kids participated. Sinceno was on hand to be the first inducted into the Liberty Wall of Fame and to retire his jersey number.
