THOMAS G. MCCARTHY
WOODBRIDGE, VA Thomas G. McCarthy died on Wednesday, August 30, 2006.
He was the son of the late Thomas J. McCarthy and Bernadine J. Laban-owski.
McCarthy is survived by his sisters, Karen Harris of Spokane, WA, Lynn Schwartz of Fairfax, Susan McCarthy of Red Hook, NY and Katrina Winegert of Youngsville, NY; one brother, Darren McCarthy of Kenoza Lake, NY; an uncle; two aunts; three godchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held on September 5, 2006 at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Pine Island.
Interment is at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Pine Island.
RICHARD JOHN NOBLE
NARROWSBURG, NY Richard John Noble died on Monday, September 4, 2006. He was 63.
The son of the late Charles R.J. Noble and Dora Hayward Noble, he was born on February 15, 1942 in Manhattan.
Noble was a retired automotive technician and a longtime area resident.
A family statement said: Richard was a good son to his mother, he was a loving father, a loving Poppy and a long-time friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Hayward Noble of Narrowsburg; three sons, Rick Noble of New Jersey, Scotty Noble of New York City and Nicholas Charles Noble of Narrowsburg; one daughter, Julianna Sullivan and her husband Sean of Cochecton; two brothers, Robert Noble and his wife Mary of Gig Harbor, WA, and Roger Noble and his wife Carol of Simsbury, CT; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his companion Barbara Herman of Callicoon; and his ex-wife and best friend Marie Sellers of Narrowsburg.
Services were held on September 8, 2006 at the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Narrowsburg, with Pastor Phyllis Haynes officiating.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

LEROY ROSS PITTENGER
GREELEY, PA Leroy Ross Pittenger, a resident of Greeley, died on Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Cape May Court House, NJ. He was 58.
He was the son of the late Lee R. and Minnie (Dodd) Pittenger.
Pittenger served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was the retired owner and operator of L.R. Pittenger and Sons Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Lyn (Davenport) Pittenger; three sons, Walter Pittenger, Brian Pittenger andMark Pittenger and his wife Abby; a daughter, Rachel Brader and her husband Steven; five sisters, Eunice Spangenberg, Judy Hulse, Cindy Pittenger, Sherry Dobbs and Christine; three brothers, John H. Pittenger, Jamie Strobeck and Eugene Strobeck; a stepmother, Marilyn Pittenger; and one granddaughter.
Services will be held Friday, September 15, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in Teeters East Chapel in Hawley, PA.
KARLA SCHREYER
MIAMI, FL Karla Schreyer, a former resident of Yulan, NY, died on August 23, 2006 in Miami. She was 95.
Schreyer was born in Hamburg, Germany. She was a resident of Yulan for 50 years and had been living in Miami Lakes with her daughter and son-in-law, Petra and Phil Consolo.
She is survived by two daughters, Petra Consolo and her husband Phil, and Ingrid Richter; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.

C. HAROLD STEVENSON
EQUINUNK, PA C. Harold Stevenson, a resident of Equinunk, died on Monday, September 4, 2006 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He was 83.
The son of Clarence R, and Clyde (Lester) Stevenson, he was born on November 3, 1922 in Equinunk.
Stevenson was a veteran of World War II, serving as an infantryman in Italy. He was a member of the Colesprings-Rileyville Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Orvetta Skinner Stevenson; and a niece, Lucinda Parker of Manchester, TX.
He was predeceased by his brother, Howard.
Services were held on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel in Hancock, NY, with the Reverend Andrew Weidner officiating.
Interment is at Pine Mill Cemetery in Equinunk.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Equinunk Fire Department or to the Damascus Ambulance Squad.
