Shohola actor to star in NYC production

NEW YORK, NY — Shohola-based actor Gregory Giblin will appear in the featured role of “Big Daddy” in a staged reading of Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” at the National Arts Club at Gramercy Park at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12. Giblin will work under the direction of Milford resident Jeffrey David Stocker, a trustee at the club and owner of the Film Acting Studio in New York City. The cast includes Jo Anne Bonn, Justin Nadal, Memory Contento and Kristin Celeste Henry as Maggie the Cat. It will be performed as an adapted reading and will be held in the Sculpture Court at the Club.

This is Giblin’s second time playing the fabled role made famous by Burl Ives in the 1958 movie. He played Big Daddy in Muddy Waters Players’ production in Monroe’s Museum Village. “It is a great challenge as an actor, and am grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented cast in bringing this piece to life. It will be a special honor to do it at the National Arts Club, which recognized Mr. Williams with The Medal of Honor for Literature in 1975 for his body of work as a playwright.”
