Classic cars on display in Manor

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Livingston Manor Rotary Club will hold its fourth annual Car Show and Barbeque from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3 on Main Street. Registration for the car show starts at 9:00 a.m., for a cost of $10.

There will be 12 classes, with three trophies in each class. All cars must be at least 25 years old.

Classes are: 1) 1929 and older; 2) 1930 through 1949; 3) 1950 through 1960; 4) 1961 through 1970; 5) Special interest/tuner; 6) Street rods; 7) T Birds; 8) Trucks; 9) Corvettes; 10) Motorcycles; 11) Original/unrestored; 12) Foreign cars.

Trophies will be awarded at 3:30 p.m. The first 50 cars registered will receive dash plaques and goody bags. Music to accompany the event will be provided by DJ Jim.

The barbeque, served from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., will include hamburgers, hot dogs and deli sandwiches. Proceeds from the event go to the LM Rotary Youth Activities Fund, which supports Rotary-sponsored youth activities such as Little League, AYSO Soccer, USFSA Ice Skating Program and the expenses necessary for the overall maintenance of Livingston Manor’s Rotary Park.
