Eldred dream team to face Harlem Rockets

ELDRED, NY — The world-renowned Harlem Rockets basketball team will take on the Eldred Dream Team All-Stars on September 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Eldred High School gymnasium.

The Harlem Rockets are a comedy basketball team formed in 1993. They will make a presentation to students that day that stresses positive behavior and a strong stance against drugs, alcohol and tobacco use.

While enticing students with their basketball skills and antics, the Rockets also promote listening to teachers, doing homework on time, avoiding peer pressure and building self-esteem and moral character.

The event is sponsored by Circle Park and the Mackenzie PTA. Harlem Rockets souvenirs will be sold at the gym. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. Send a check payable to Circle Park, PO Box 418, Glen Spey, NY 12737. Reserved tickets will be held at the door; plan to arrive 45 minutes before the show to pick up tickets.
