New logo for public health workers

MONTICELLO, NY — Carol Ryan, director of Sullivan County Public Health Services, showed lawmakers a new logo intended to help the public quickly identify public heath workers. She said the public would be seeing the symbol more and more as time goes on.

The logo, a white three-pronged symbol on a beige three-pointed shield, was developed by the National Association of County and City Health Officials and unveiled at the group’s national convention in San Antonio, TX on August 3. Below the symbol are the printed words “Prevent, Promote and Protect.”
