Campground arrests

SKINNERS FALLS, NY — Two men were arrested at Lander’s Skinners Falls Campground on the evening of Saturday, August 12, after they allegedly assaulted two other men with a golf club and fists. State police at Liberty said James Mammes, 22, of East Rockaway punched William Selfridge in the face, fracturing his jaw. And James Murphy, 22 also of East Rockaway, assaulted Fernando Sanchez with a golf club, causing fractures to the victim’s nose and face.

Both victims were sent to Catskill Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.

Mammes and Murphy were sent to Sullivan County Jail on felony assault charges without bail.
