Auction day is upon us

Bid on a mansion for your backyard birds

HONESDALE, PA — They made their inaugural appearance on Memorial Day, have spent the summer delighting passersby at sites all around the county, where they have been displayed on seven-foot posts, and now one of them can be yours. They are Wayne County Arts Alliance’s “Home Tweet Home” birdhouses, decorated by local artists, and they will be auctioned at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 at Texas No. 4 Fire Hall on Grove Street.

The birdhouses are correctly constructed to Audubon standards and can be used as functioning birdhouses as well as works of art.
