Gray and Loughney earn gold at Empire State Games

ROCHESTER, NY — A pair of Tri-Valley track athletes brought home the gold from the 2006 Empire State Games held July 26 through 30. Garrett Gray was the javelin winner in the scholastic men’s division with a heave of 48.21M. Teammate Ryan Loughney continued his stellar rise as one of the nation’s premiere hammer throwers with a toss of 56.67KM, besting his nearest opponent by four meters.
