A jubilee day at Catskill Fly Fishing Center

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The 80th birthday of legendary angler Joan Wulff will be celebrated on Sunday, August 13 at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM) with festivities including a chicken barbeque. But Wulff’s benchmark will be only one of many feted at the event: “Doc” Alan Fried will also turn 80, and Agnes Van Put will be 90. Mary Dette and Mary Fried will turn 75, Ed Van Put will be 70, Doc and Mary Fried will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and Ed and Judy Van Put will celebrate 25 years together. The Anglers’ Club of NY will celebrate its 100th Anniversary and the CFFCM its 25th.

The day will open with a flea and craft market at 9:00 a.m. In addition to the chicken barbeque, there will be a Great Willowemoc Fish Race, music, games for children, nature trails, a Thunder 102 Radio Broadcast and more.
