Signs of the seasons

WOODBOURNE, NY — The Old Stone House, a Sullivan Renaissance grant recipient, is holding an exhibit of Louis Jawitz during the month of August through the 27th.

With photographs highlighting spring, summer and fall, the show celebrates the natural beauty of life in the Catskills with a seasonal motif.

A well-known and established advertising, editorial, stock and travel photographer, Jawitz lives and works in New York City’s Flatiron District. In his skylight studio with views of the Empire State Building, he has created many award-winning images for major clients.

Beyond his commercial work, Jawitz has a personal passion for photography that shows up in his images depicting local scenes, many of which have been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York City, and locally at The Catskill Art Society in Hurleyville and The Liberty Museum and Art Center in Liberty
