EARL BRIGHT
GAINESVILLE, GA Earl Bright of Gainesville died July 21, 2006 following an extended illness. He was 61.
The son of the late Tom and Mary Earls Bright, he was born January 14, 1945 in Bryson, NC.
Formerly of Roscoe, NY, Bright worked in construction in the Northeast and then was employed by Wrigleys Gum Manufacturing Co. He was a 35-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Debora Hermann Bright at home; two daughters, Belinda Shook of Hiawassee and Kayla Breazeale and husband Kevin of Gainesville; a son, Christian of Gainesville; a granddaughter; three brothers, Luke Bright, Kreel Bright and his twin Hearl Bright, all of Hiawassee; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Sullivan of Lake Charles, LA; a brother-in-law, Bryan Sims of Swan Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, July 24, 2006 in Gainesville.
Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

PAUL KAMPKA
SPARROWBUSH, NY Paul Kampka of Sparrowbush died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. He was 72.
The son of the late Paul M. Kampka Sr. and the late Bernice Ricker Kampka, he was born September 10, 1933 in Butler, NJ.
Kampka was a groundskeeper for High Point Golf Course in Montague, NJ.
Survivors include one son, Michael Kampka and his wife Nancy of Mullians, SC; three brothers, Gary J. Kampka and his wife Judy of Sparrowbush, Bruce Kampka and his wife Joyce of Springdale, NJ and Edward Kampka and his wife Jan of The Villages, FL; and one sister, Nancy Kosc of Branchville, NJ.
Funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
MURIEL F. LOHDEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID Muriel F. Lohden of Idaho Falls died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Community, Idaho Falls. She was 87.
The daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Kaiser) Maurer, she was born on March 19, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY.
A former longtime resident of Shohola, PA, Lohden was a retired executive secretary for Kolmar Laboratories, Port Jervis. She was also an active member of the St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, Shohola.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ann Hoey and her husband Michael of Milford, PA and Linda DeNagy and her husband Stephen of Idaho Falls; one son, John C. Lohden of Hamilton, MT; one sister, June Taylor and her husband Robert of St. James, NY; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two nephews.
Services were held at Stroyan Funeral Home on Thursday, July 27, 2006 with the Rev. Rolf Buchmann officiating.
Interment will take place in German Hill Cemetery, Shohola, PA.

RICHARD A. LONG
ONEIDA, NY Richard A. Long of Oneida died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Oneida Healthcare Center. He was 63.
The son of Lester and Mildred Klein Long, he was born on February 19, 1943 in Callicoon.
A graduate of Delaware Valley Central School, Long was a farmer in Sullivan County before moving to Canastota. He was also a carpenter, a dairy farmer and an employee of New Process Gear in Syracuse.
He was a lifelong member of the NRA, the Emperor of the Canastota Conservation Club, a member of the International Benchrest Shooters and an honorary member of the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed hunting, shooting sports, farming, spending time at the gun club and helping people.
Long is survived by his wife Jill at home; a son, Andrew Long and his wife Sarah of Westminster, MD; a sister-in-law, Judith Long of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren; two nephews; a niece; and many cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Lester C. Long.
Memorial services were held Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home in Canastota with Rev. Robert A. Bromfield officiating.

JEANNE ALICE RUTLEDGE
WAYMART, PA Jeanne Alice Rutledge of Waymart died Thursday, July 27, 2006 in the Wayne Woodlands Manor. She was 76.
The daughter of the late Albert and Armida Fromm Robisch, she was born in Hortonville, NY.
Rutledge graduated from Callicoon High School. With her husband, she owned and operated a dairy and beef farm in Tyler Hill until 1997. She was a member of the Damascus Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, William and his wife Jackie of Cherry Ridge; a daughter, Jane and her husband Brian Mikulewicz of Prompton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Rutledge; a brother, Gerald Robisch; and a sister, Geraldine Robisch.
A memorial service was held on August 1, 2006 in the Arthur A. Bryant funeral Home, Honesdale.
Interment will take place in Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville.

JEROME J. STENGER
ALLENTOWN, PA Jerome J. Stenger of Allentown died of lymphoma on July 31, 2006. He was 81.
He was born in Paris, France of American parents.
A graduate of Georgetown College and attendee of Catholic University, Stenger was in the Foreign Service. He served in the Air Force during WWII and was a member of St. Bartholomews Catholic Church in Bethesda, St. Josephs Catholic Church in Rileyville and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown. He was also active in the Pennsylvania Grange and the Equinunk History Society and maintained a home in Equinunk.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Collins at home; eight children, Catberry Marion and partner Sarah Highland, Eileen and husband Robert Filoramo, Joseph and wife Kathleen Hardie, Elisabeth and husband Michael Ross, Edmund and wife Carol White, Bernard and wife Su-Nin Liu-Stenger, Wilfred and wife Sinimaaria Kangas and Patricia and partner Jason Broome; and 15 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 3 at 12:00 noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with a calling hour from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
