A bit of Broadway in Loch Sheldrake
LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY There will be a one-night only performance of The Phantom Comes to Sullivan at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5 in the Seelig Theatre of Sullivan County Community College. The show features Broadways Cris Groenendaal (Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum) and Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd, The Fantasticks, Candide) sharing the spotlight.
The Phantom Comes to Sullivan, part of the colleges ongoing summer cultural series, is an evening of songs celebrating life, love, and the slings and arrows of the outrageousness of relationships. It showcases works by a variety of composers including the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Stephen Sondheim, Lucy Simon, and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. Sue Anderson is the accompanying pianist.
Tickets cost $20 for general admission, $18 for seniors, students, and SCCC staff, and $15 for groups.
